About Us
Welcome! We care about building relationships between the Lutheran Church of South Sudan and the members of the American church. Through partnerships and trips we learn from one another, inspsire and encourage one another and together reach more people for Jesus in both Africa and America. Global Partnerships in Mission is a discipleship strategy crafted by the Lutheran Church of South Sudan and their U.S. partners. Two qualified Lutheran pastors from the U.S. are invited to the seminary in Gambella, Ethiopia for short-term mission trip. There they teach specialized topics in a seminar format. They learn as well from the Sudanese faculty and students as they visit their home ministry context. These friendships grow into partnerships that support one another’s ministry and nurture personalized relationships with the congregations involved. Both partners expand their view of God’s kingdom as see how God is reaching people from all nations, tribes and tongues!
Here are the steps:
1) Register on this site to find out more information. Pray about taking a trip.
2) If you decide the Lord is leading you to say, "Yes!" then submit an application.
3) Participate in an online interview.
4) When you are accepted, you will receive preparation materials and coaching.
